There has to be a solution for this... can somebody please come up with an answer? If you look at all the formerly nice green grass that is near apartment buildings in the downtown core, it is all burnt yellow from dog piss. One Idea I had was that there should be designated pissing areas with FAKE grass, and a flushing system. There, you could step on some button, and then a sprinkler would spray the fake grass area. It is so sad to see such nice landscaped areas get demolished by dogs...

Yes, I noticed that the strip out in front of the building is looking pretty sad lately. In fact, its so bad that i'm afraid the city is going to start a bylaw that doesn't allow dogs on sidewalk grass and meridians. Like you said though, there must be away to let the dogs relieve themselves without killing the gras in the process.

How bout a huge fire hydrant display at special areas in the city. It will attract your pups like moths to a flame. Either that or have a designated grass area that is out of the sight of most people,

occasionally my little annie has to releive him self (wet kind) on the cement and I get so embarrassed. I think it's easy to train your dog to only go on grass.
